oh, same thing happen to me also.

I did a survey few weeks b4. Then they invited me to attend the event held in KLCC last Wednesday (if im not mistaken) and gave me the lucky draw no. Of course, I won’t bother all this phone call.
Yesterday, I received a call from the same girl (her name 杨佩玲， tel no: 03-27727368 & hp no: 014-7217969), she spoke with china or Taiwanese accent and claimed that she was called on behalf of her company name 奇美电子有限公司, She told me that I have won 3rd prize which is HKD 500k, and why that day they announced my name on the stage but I didn’t collect my prize. Then she told me that since I didn’t collect the cash prize on the spot, they have send back the money to hang seng bank in Hong Kong. She gave me 2 option, either I personally collect in Hang Seng bank Hong kong or provide her my name, IC no & bank a/c and they will transfer the money to my local bank a/c.

I asked her whether do I need to pay any fee or charges, she told me I won’t need to pay a single cent. She know I’m doubting her statement, so she provided me her company registration no. I checked through the Hong kong government company registration website, the company she mentioned is really registered in Hong Kong.

After that I told her I choose to go Hong Kong to claim my prize, I asked her to provide me the Hang Seng branch & staff in charge name．　（Info she provided is Hang Seng bank Nathan Road, Kowloon main branch, person in charge is 陈永成）. I called the bank and checked for the staff name that she provided, answer is “No such Person”.

I called her again and questioned her regarding the manager name 陈永成 is not in Hang Seng bank staff list, she seems like a bit shocked that I called the Hang Seng Bank and keep giving me a lot of reason such as bcoz of the staff list is very confidential so the bank won’t simply reveal their staff info. I asked for her company address as well and she sms the address (suite 1605, 16th floor menara tan & tan, 207, jalan tun razak 50400 kl).

P.s. Luckily I didn’t give her my real name. ^-^

Today i received a call from that ladies, she claim that someone stole my identify and get a new credit card from Eon Bank. She told me to call to Pusat Palsu Bank Negara to report the issue and ask them to fax the clarification form to cancel my existing card. The Pusat Palsu Bank Negara phone number is the same as 03-27727300.

She claimed her name Sharon and asked me to call her back at 03-20267949. Thanks to Jacky for the sharing in this blog and they dont con to the others, else i might be one of the victim in this con incident. really appreciate for that !!

Same thing happen to me. the same story, same prize, same bank, same girl…

same phone number 008 5230 501176, they said this number is from Hang Seng HK Bank, i did call to the bank (get their customer service number from their official website) and find out, this number 008-5230-501176, is NOT Hang Seng HK Bank phone number.

I wish to thank you the owner of the blog for posting this con incident, so that i can search and confirm they are 100% con, and gather all the story put together.

Hope the con team will be get busted 1 day, very soon!

I receive a call from tham also. They work for 奇华电器公有限司. They tell me I win the 3th price also. Total amount I win is HKD420,000. That lady who call me is 谢冰玉phone 0122994571. She gave me the number for 3th prize winner (he win a same price like me) named Liu Wei Jie （刘伟杰）phone 0129716923.
After that she ask me to call Hang Seng banker too. 张宝华phone 0085230501176.
Finally she ask me to bank in RM 5+++ also. And I told him I don’t have so many money. She ask me to borrow from my friend, but I tell him I never borrow money from my friend and I don’t have friend….
About this 2 handphone number, I already check by using the internet. This 2 number are unregister handphone number. So, i can 100% comfirm they are trickster.

I experience the same story. But I purposely dig into it further. The Hang Seng banker is asking for Overseas Trust Insurance Cover note. So, I asked the fake lady (named Chen Le Yi 陈乐怡) and she pretend don’t know what is it. She gave me the number for first prize winner named Liu Wei Jie （刘伟杰）phone 0129716923. His slang is local mandarin. He said he won the first prize and he appointed the company to arrange for the trust insurance for him. He said he got the money within the same day! I purposely follow the instruction and ask Ms Chen how to purchase the insurance? She want me to be done within the same day but I said I was in the rural area. So I asked my friend to help. She gave my friend a RHB bank account under the name of Heo Soon Cheng Acc# 112022007941 to bank in RM5940 as insurance premium. We didn’t do that but I fax a fake bank in slip for her. Her fax no is 03-30696852. I think she’ll find out that I’m cheating her. The story to be continued….

You’d be surprised at just how many people can be so ignorant about these scams. You may laugh at how silly their tactics may sound like. But look at the newspaper and you will see Michael Chong having a hard time getting complaints from these people who really fall for their scam. I am just highlighting a potential trap for everyone to see and be wary of. And if they still fall for that cheap tactics, they have only themselves to blame.
