Here I am, back in Avillion after more than 5 years that I last went there. Avillion struck me as a very beautiful place when I went there the first time, and it gave me a very good impression. I told myself that I will bring my entire family to that place again, and I finally did it a few weeks back.
It was a Tuesday 29th June, I was in between jobs. The perfect time to go on a holiday, far from the city. Well not exactly far; Port Dickson is less than an hour’s drive away. I did not even need to fill up my gas tank. Yes, we used the NGV car there. We started early and reached there as early as we could.
The place was exactly the way that I remembered it. The porch overlooking the Melaka Straits, the open air bathroom and the bathtub. Of course, it being the 2nd time I stayed there, I am not that impressed. But the girls were.
While the girls slept, I went to town to tah pao some noodle for lunch. While waiting for them to wake up, ol’ daddy went for a dip inside the glorious bathtub. Ahhhhh bliss …..
But what’s this? Suddenly I was woken up by the squealing sound of my girls. I opened my eyes and saw the two of them beside me.
They just can’t have daddy have all the fun, so they joined in as well. They just went crazy, never seen so much bubbles in their lives!!
A short info about exactly where we stayed. It was one of the many water chalets. Ours is facing the outside, and beside their spa. We purposely chose that spot, normally they would choose their best spot for their spa right?
So this was where we were, right beside the spa, overlooking the open seas. It was lucky it was a weekday, otherwise we wouldn’t be so lucky to get such a place.
That evening it rained slightly, so we went to the playroom for a while.
I played with their Playstation 2 for a while before the caretaker came in and told me that I need to pay to play with that! Gulp! For what? Electricity fee ar? Come on lar, your DVD game also doesn’t look original to me ….
We went swimming for a while, then went back to our room. Then we head to the beach to play with the sand. The kids just love digging there.
But we couldn’t stay for long. We felt a strong itchiness on our legs, and we quickly evacuated the place. We suspected there must be some sort of bugs on the beaches. Our suspicion were confirmed when we went to the south beach and saw this sign:
We went out to town again for dinner. We went to a place far from the city. There were two reasons for it, (1) we were afraid to be slit on the throat for eating as tourists there, and (2) we saw one rather odd looking place a few months back when we lost of ways finding a way back from PD. So we decided to go to that place again to have our dinner.
The food was so-so only. The price matches any restaurant in Puchong, perhaps you get cheaper in Puchong some more! In other words, NOT RECOMMENDED.
Night was spent taking a stroll around the hotel, taking in the breathtaking scenery.
The next morning everyone woke up fresh to the sounds of sea water splashing around us and sea birds flying around. It was a wonderful scene, and the kids seems to enjoy it very much, drinking milk outside the balcony!
We got ourselves prepared for the next activity, the rabbit farm!
But poor Yan Yan had her finger bitten by a ferociously hungry rabbit who thinks her finger is a piece of carrot.
But all is forgotten when she saw …… the swimming pool! The one that she was crazy most was the water slide.
The one that we were surprised most was Hui Yan, who took to the water like a fish!
All good things must come to an end, and so it was with a heavy heart that we left our room.
The trip was short, but it made everyone happy. I think we will be coming to Avillion a lot more often again in the future!
