To go where I have never been before! That certainly sounds exciting, especially now that I can bring my camera along for some landscape photography! My colleague Ivan recently bought himself a DSLR, a 450D, so I’ll be glad to have another photo-kaki to join me.
Pasukan Bomba Sekinchan. As authenthic as it can get!
We arrived there at almost lunch time, although we started our journey quite early. Blame it on the navigator who made TWO wrong turns in the entire journey!
The name of the place is Restoran Guan Hwat. Worth every ringgit we spent there
Watcha looking at?
After lunch we went to the pier which was just nearby.
A boat in the making
It was interesting catching the life on and around the boat. From what I see, they are not local. More like Indonesians trying to eeke out a meagre living on this pathetic looking slum.
These guys certainly don't local to me
Look, a real jamban!
Boxes in colour
The road home seem so far
Old-school transport
Next we went to this secluded place by the sea. I was almost sure that they actually had lost their way (based on their earlier track record today) but insisted that this was a proper destination in their plan. But I wasn’t complaining. This place was a great place for some landscaping shots!
Dead tree by the sea
More and more dead trees. The sky was really wonderful!
The blue of the sky and the red of the earth is just so beautifully contrasting!
Farmville is the latest craze now. And now finding a lost cow in the middle of nowhere seems exciting too!
Caught you! They were cleaning their shoes before getting back into the car
After that we went to the highlight of the journey; the paddy fields. Alas, most of the fields has already been harvested and being plowed for the next plantation. So we were excited when we came across the first patches of greens. And they were bright greens, not old yellow paddy! Great for photography. The looming dark clouds make for an even better photo opportunity!
Human HDR!
Jump shot! Love this shot, everyone look so lively!
On our way, we saw this place where they sold all kinds of fruits. Mei Fen went down to have a look. At first we thought nothing of this place, but then suddenly a bus stopped nearby, and a huge crowd entered the place. Then only we realized that the place is actually a fruits wholesaler.
So many people turned up all of a sudden
We had a last stop at one of the seeding stations, or tapak semaian as we know them. Here the tiny paddy seedlings are grown and nurtured before they are replanted on the fields. And yes, as you can imagine, they are the greenest of green!
The 3 scarecrows were too intimidating, therefore they were banished in this squating position for the rest of their miserable lives!
Thought this was kinda nice. Perhaps it would be nicer to desaturate the colour a bit?
Anyway this is just some of the pictures that I took. For more pictures, please go to my gallery.
