Been listening to the news lately? It seems that not much people know about this recently opened highway. As early as last Friday (14th December 2007) I have seen cars whizzing pass the highway, which is located along the way where I go to work (from Seri kembangan to Cyberjaya). Yesterday night after dinner, at about 8:30 pm, I took my whole family on a joyride. We drove all the way to Putrajaya, to get into the exit located on the way to the Elite highway. That’s about 11 km from our house. There was one toll in Putrajaya, both ways. It took us about 5 minutes to arrive in Seri Kembangan rest area, located just a few distance away from our home! I’m just angry that there is no exit located in the main road to Serdang. The notorious traffic jam in Serdang would have been greatly alleviated had there has been this exit! Stupid BN!

By 9:06 pm, we were suddenly transported smack right in the middle of KL city centre, right on Bulatan Kampung Pandan! That was really fast! But we were tolled on the Salak Selatan exit. We made a turn to Sg Besi highway, where we entered the highway again on the Kuchai Lama exit. We were pleasantly surprised that there was no toll on that exit, both ways. On our way back we also saw that there was no toll on the Bukit Jalil exit either, so free travel between Kuchai Lama and Carrefour Bukit Jalil. That helps the jam in Sungai Besi to MRR2 to a certain extent, but puts the pressure on the MRR2 direction towards Cheras, because I heard that there is no exit towards Sunway / Puchong area. You’re gonna have to make a U-turn.

It’s a good alternative if you’re stuck in a jam in Kampung Pandan. But I wished that it has an exit in Serdang, or at least in SKVE where it matters most. But I guess the government is more concerned about making money than catering for the needs of the rakyat.

Wahahaha The highway is FANTASTIC. Can reach Bukit Bintang from Cyber in 15 minutes! It’s so straight and best of all, the traffic is almost nil. Best make full use of it before they start charging toll.

I tried this highway too… a couple of weeks back… journey between kl and putrajaya was smooth… around 20 minutes… this highway is also known as protocol highway… meaning for v v ips to breeze between kl and putrajaya for official functions…. so i guess.. this is the reason they do not want too many connections to this highway… to maintain its exclusiveness….
