It’s finally over for these bunch of losers. Finally they are out-of-business, “gulung tikar”, bust, out of the picture! Say bye bye to the largest money swindling mechanism from Mahathir’s era! Yeah, I can’t be more happier at that news!
April’s Fool!
Damn, how I wish that it was true. 🙁
Being the first day of April, one should take everything that one read or hear with a pinch of salt, in large doses. I once read a copy of The Star’s In-Tech pull-out. In case you do not know, In-Tech is a weekly issue in The Star’s newspaper that features the latest news and happenings in the computer world. I have been an avid reader since I got my very own 486DX computer back in 1992. One fine day, when one of their issues coincides with 1st April, all their articles carried tall-tales of computers that can do your everything from waxing your car to drying your underwear!
Have you heard of the prank by Hitz.fm last year? Or was it last last year? It was very obviously an April’s Fool Day. The deejays apparently became angry with their managers and held the studio ransom. You can almost hear the tension in the studio as they fight between themselves. Some callers really were tricked into thinking that the boys have lost their minds, but that day being the first of April, I was only mildly amused.
Sometimes there is just no escaping from these hoaxes. One group of pranksters who calls themselves Improv Everywhere, devises intricate and elaborate plans to fool large groups of people. There was this famous prank that employs about 200 volunteers to walk into New York’s Grand Central station and suddenly just froze doing their normal everyday thing. One were seen crouching down to tie his shoe, another group were frozen while reading a map while chatting with a friend. You can imagine the look of other onlookers when they see this. Some video-record them, others try to wave their hands in front of their faces. Exactly 5 minutes later, as if on cue, they suddenly broke from their freeze and blended back into the crowd, as if nothing happened, while the curious onlookers just broke into an applause!
Yet others used much less people, but just as funny. Just browse over to their website or hit YouTube to look for them. I hope they bring this over to Malaysia, it would be a hit!
Here’s another one of their pranks which I personally find amusing! Spontaneous musical!
